platinumfloraldesigns: The Fine Grain, Union Club, Victoria, BC

Hello, wow, time flies! It's been quite some time since our last blog post. 2017 has proven to be one heck of a year for Platinum Floral Designs, Victoria BC. It feels like our high season started in January and didn't let up until now, September and we are still going strong. It's been a year of growth, personal hardships, personal gains, business gains, stress, celebrations, need I do go on. At the end of the day, it's been one hell of an awesome year. To kick start my blogging, I just had to start with this spectacular event we were able to be apart of located at Union Club, downtown Victoria BC. It was definitely an event that allowed us to create some really awesome floral installations including a stunning geometrical shaped living green backdrop. I worked hand in hand with Emma McCormick Creative Planning and Production to lay out the creative vision for the branded "The Fine Grain" event hosted by The Japanese Rice Growers Association produced by Brink Events.

The Fine Grain came to Victoria, BC to have a bit of a cook off and bartending extravaganza showcasing their product. Emma wanted to create a stunning and interactive room for the guests to enjoy. She did that by bringing in unique pieces from Bash Speciality, created cooking areas for the chefs, draped the room (draping provided by Decorate Victoria), custom lighting was installed, stationary, custom branding, and of course she had flowers to impact the room visually and to engage the guests. Each chef and bartender had to create custom dishes and cocktails competing against each other and by the end of the evening, winners were announced. Garlands, centrepieces, winners bouquets and backdrops were used in this event.... and I'll let the images show you just how amazing this evening went.
