A picturesque day for the beautiful couple. A wedding ceremony at Hatley Castle in our beautiful Victoria, how can anyone go wrong? Working with Jennifer and Ryan was especially important for me. Knowing that this couple's Mother and family friend had worked in the floral industry for years and years working on presidential weddings in the past, I had my work cut out for me. Intertwining ideas from Bride, Groom, Mother and Friend, the wedding turned out stunning.
Let's start with this arch. The Bride's Dad had lovingly hand crafted the entire thing in Vancouver, shipped it to the island where it stood proud. We adorned the arch with hydrangea, delphinium, garden roses, orchids.... and greenery pulled from the Groom's mother's personal garden.
We also created 2 larger ceremony arrangements flanking each side of the aisleway with our white pillar stands and white matching bowls.
Here they are, looking incredibly happy and gorgeous. Jennifer's bridal bouquet was the largest cascading bridal bouquet we've ever made. Took hours to hand wired all the pieces together, but the results were stunning.
And here they are - happily married, newly husband and wife! LOVE.
The girls carried simple and stunning white and yellow calla lily bouquets!
Then off to the Union Club, downtown Victoria. The reception, we started off with a mantle scape with garden roses, both yellow and whites, in our heritage glass crystal collection.
The head table used 1 low table arrangement in the center flanked by two stunning crystal candelabra's from Huff N Puff Party Stuff.
Unique tablescaping was scattered throughout the reception.
We even had a pair of boots from the groom's family filled with flowers. Personal touches really made the difference at this wedding.
Fish! Yes, there was even fish at this wedding. The Bride insisted and she got her way. Each table was set with 3 vases. One set with a sunken orchid, and the remaining 2 with floating candles and fish! I remember telling the bride, I'm not taking any fish home and her reply....
"Don't worry, the guests will take them home"
I was skeptical...
Came home with 11 of the 20 fish....
And guess what? I still have 2 of them in my living room, floating around doing there thing.
Thank goodness for kids, I sneakily handed them out to my friends kids and BAM, they were gone!
Thank you so much Jennifer and Ryan - it was a blast
I wish you much happiness and the fullest of life!
