A romantic Country Affair with Eva Shockey and Tim Brent, Vancouver Island

Tuesday 14 June 2016

Finally!  Blogging this stunning wedding.  I loved this wedding.  It had all the right details in all the right places.  A romantic country, private, outdoor estate wedding...... all dripped in golds and blushes!  Can we get a ohhhhh yaaaaaa ! I was thrilled when I received the referral from the always amazing Tam of Blue Lily Event Planning discussing details of a wedding with the clients being Eva Shockey and Tim Brent!  Ok, hold the bus!  I immediately got onto the phone with my hunter dad back in Saskatchewan and bragged.  He is a huge fan of Eva and didn't stop talking for 45 minutes.  Ok, enough about the honour of working with celebrities, onto the beautiful day!  Can't thank Element Photo Co. enough for the gorgeous photographs!

Eva's beautiful bouquet was chalked full of beautiful blooms both imported and direct from our cutting gardens.  We included blush peony, astible, ranunculus, lisianthus, stock, olive branch and David Austin garden roses.  This bouquet had all the traditional favourites of many brides and it was a blast to create.  Her lovely maids carried simple country styled babies breathe bouquets and it was a perfect mix against the soft blush gowns.

If you don't know who Eva Shockey is, well she's a famous hunter and travels the world with her father, Jim Shockey and produces a pretty wicked hunter show on TV.  So, you can imagine it was important to through around shots of cameo and hunting inspired decor tastefully through out the evening.  I loved the cameo details the boys wore.

Dapper men no?  Ranunculus and babies breathe mixed with burlap and lace were called for on these lovely boutonnieres.

Custom invitions, menus, name tags and seating charts beautifully crafted by Studio 745 again picked up on the hunting details with a classy antler design.

The ceremony took place in a beautiful location surrounded by garry oak trees, wine barrels and rustic, organic flowers.  Gorgeous day to say I DO!

Moving on from the ceremony, the reception was beautifully tented, dripping in swags of fabric, gold chivari chairs and unique food stations tucked in and around the property.

Guest tables were filled with gold bud vases, succulents, gold antlers, blushes and soft white flowers all added to the dreamy romantic effect. Gold sequin runners provided by Trend Decor added just a touch of sparkle.

Ice Cream anyone?  On a hot day?  Jackson's mobile Ice Cream station was a huge hit!

Yummy candy and cupcake table. Schur to Please Cakes and Cupcakes is always such a treat!

London Chef, always a crowd pleaser with yummy foods!

A magical day from start to finish.  It takes many wedding vendors to pull off such a flawless private event and everyone brought their A game.  As always, we are thrilled to be apart of these very special moments in peoples lives.  Wishing Eva and Tim the most happiest of days.

I got married there earlier this year and cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience of working with their manager and the service, food and venue. The coordinators from Los Angeles wedding venues managed my wedding, and were impeccable wedding Angels.
