West Coast, BOHO, Geod Beach Wedding Theme at it's Finest

Thursday, 15 December 2016

When I close my eyes and think of a west coast, boho, geod inspired wedding, this is exactly what comes to mind.  No cheesy blue and white glass beads with perfect shells scattered about (sorry if that's your thing).   When I close my eyes, I imagine incorporating the oceanside details in all it's glory.  When Danielle of Trend Decor called us up to participate in this styled shoot (which was published and featured on BOHO Weddings), I simply couldn't refuse.

Everything about this shoot was so visually stunning.  The bride's 2 piece gown from Blush Bridal absolutely stole my heart, her stunning blue earrings, soft hair and make-up!  AH, just lovely.  The groom was also dressed is such a stunning suit and of course adorned a boutonniere foraged direct from our cutting garden featuring hellebores and pieris.

Air plants, parrot tulips, garden roses, silver brunia, hellebores and blue thistle made up this whimsical bridal bouquet.

The guest table was all about west coast boho.  We used a low table for an intimate gathering of family and friends paired with shibori fabric, geods, air plants and nautical accents.

OK!  We need to stop and talk about the cake for a second!  Isn't it absolutely unreal?  Ruth and Dean absolutely nailed this geod inspired cake, perfection for our west coast themed beach shoot.  PS - it was absolutely delish too!

Toque Catering always blows us away.  This time, beautifully crafted ocean inspired apple's served direct in outer shells.  True west coast!

Watercolour invitations - we think so too!  Studio 745 stole our hearts with these ones.
