Starling Lane Winery - a traditional Indian Styled Wedding

Wednesday, 7 December 2016

AH yes!  The classic Starling Lane Winery Photo.  This venue is so special, so full of romance everywhere and I couldn't wait to share in with the 2 day wedding celebrations of L&A's traditional Indian wedding.  I was thrilled when I received Lisa's first email about her up and coming wedding.  I had worked with Lisa a year or two prior when we planned her friends Parkside Hotel wedding.  It was nice to see this couple still full of love and finally tying the knot!

It always amazes me the detail and work that goes into producing a Indian wedding.  The family, sense of community and love that brings two joining families together melts my heart into butter.

Isn't this just stunning?

Even the groom have a day of "getting ready" complete with their own set on Mehndi.

Lisa wanted bright and bold to accent all the bright and wonderful colours of the day.  We choose bold pinks, oranges, peach and touches of yellows for an incredible pop in her bridal bouquet using Garden Roses, ranunculus, craspedia, hypericum berry, spray roses and a touch of eucalyptus.  It's always nice to switch up design palettes from blushes to bolds!

It's tradition for all members of the family on both sides to be adorned with a boutonniere or corsage. I think for this wedding, we had a total of 62 boutonnieres/corsages to make.  It was a long haul but we created simple craspedia and eucalyptus boutonnieres for this one all wrapped up in gold ribbon.

Oh the love and laughter.  These too have something so special. XO
