A Bold, textural and Unique Wedding - Prestige Oceanfront Resort

Saturday 20 January 2018

I am such a sucker for unique and bold floral palettes.  There is nothing more exciting when a client requests something 'bold' and 'different' for a wedding at Prestige Oceanfront Resort, Sooke BC!  I had a blast putting together this colourful palette.  Included in this stunner of a bridal bouquet were items personally grown from my cutting garden, included Icelandic poppies, succulents, sage and nine bark!  Ordered items included artichoke, Juliet David Austin garden roses, hypericum berry, scabies, stock, thistle and spray roses!  What a fantastic mix!

I absolutely adore this photo and what an incredible head board on that bead!  Framing in all those gorgeous gowns perfectly.  It's as if Prestige planned it, or maybe the savvy Pine and Pebble Photography just has an incredible eye for a fantastic photo ;)

I really am a sucker for all the right details and this wedding didn't disappoint.  From ring shots to shoes and custom written napkins, Pebble and Pine captured details that are often lost in our minds over the years, so valuable to have images like above for all of time! I cannot stress to all you future brides-to-be, photography, and I mean professional photography is so important, put it up there on your HIGH priority list.

Flower crowns have been a huge hit for a couple of years for us and well, I totally can see why.  They are the cutest, most adorable accessory for ANY flower girl, bride, bridesmaid or even a Mother and I love making them!

The ceremony took place in the beautiful pavilion facing the inlet views.  We prettied up Trend Decor's awesome wooden arch with 2 asymmetrical floral arrangements.  Rosemary pew markers hung with an incredible fragrance as guests were invited to sit.

Moving into the reception, The Lock and Key's amazing palette backdrop provided a perfect location to have a few wall hanging floral displays moved from the ceremony arch.  Dual purposing pieces is quite stellar and cost effective if you're looking to save a few dollars.

Trend Decor provided her awesome natural linen collection.  I simply an loving the linens lately.  A modern approach to your guest tables.  Wooden boxes filled with dusty miller, babies breath and hydrangea created for a simple centrepiece.

Gotta love these awesome party favours!

Congrats guys.  I hope for many many years of everlasting love.

XO
