Wedding Bells Magazine - Canada's Most Beautiful Bouquets - 2016

Sometimes in life, beautiful things happen.  I am so lucky to be surrounded by beauty on a daily basis, but every once in a while something truly incredible happens.  I was absolutely thrilled when one of my bouquets was hand picked by a powerful team of editors over at Wedding Bells magazine; as one of Canada's most beautiful bouquets, 2016!!!

THANK YOU WEDDING BELLS

We created a stunning bouquet requested by a bride who came to us after she had been told this bouquet was out of reach.  She began to feel depleted as florists had told her this design was unachievable.  She originally found the design on Pinterest and fell in love.  I remember opening her email with a composite rose bouquet image attached in a file and I almost fell off my chair.  I must have screamed for joy as this design had been on my bucket list since the conception of Platinum Floral Designs.  I quickly emailed her back and said ABSOLUTELY YES I would take this design challenge on.  She was over the moon, but so was I.

This design actually dates back to the 1940's and is believed to have been created by Constance Spry whom was a leading floral designer during her time.  In fact, a very prestigious garden rose is named after the designer.  Socialites would carry these bouquets to events!  How fancy.  The design is time sensitive and only lasts for moments in time, perhaps that's why it had captured my attention in such great lengths.  So.... before I go on for days, I was simply honoured, thrilled Wedding Bells had appreciated the design as much as I had.  It was featured among 35 other designers across Canada and well.... MIND BLOWN!

I truly need to thank Laura for trusting me with her vision and Courtney Clarke Photography who captured the bouquet in such incredible ways.  A piece of art work, no doubt, only here for moments in time!

Much love

XOXO
