THIS wedding! Although this wedding was a smaller scaled wedding for us, it most certainly won't be forgotten. My amazing client came in with a particular vision of mason jars and hues of purples. Keeping in mind her budget, I suggested if she gave me a little wiggle room with the palette, I could use many options to fill her order with flowers from my personal cutting garden. The brides who allow me creative freedom using what's growing in the garden, will never be forgotten. For me, I look at it like this: I took the flowers from seedlings in my lighting trays, to raising them in the garden, to finally using them at someone's very special day (kinda like raising babies, awwww). That, my friends, I hold very near and dear to my heart. Garden geek - well yes, proud to admit it. (Thanks Grandma's for raising me in gardens, flowers and the love for nature)
I love looking at this bouquet, especially blogging today on yet another cloudy west coast day. It reminds me of my garden in full bloom. Blooms such as, cafe au lait dahlia, purple dahlia, poppy seed pods, sweet peas, chocolate cosmos, phlox, scented geranium, and rosemary all arrived out of the garden and landed into an organic, wild bouquet!
Inside the reception, Trend Decor used her vintage inspired books and silver mercury vessals. Scattered throughout the room, of course mason jars; and out of all the times I have filled mason jars, these were the first green ones!
Chevron runners ran down the middle of the harvest tables and truly added a clean and modern twist against the "traditional" mason jar centerpieces.
Did you think slow flowers could look so good? We loved this wedding and couldn't be more proud to be apart of it. Thank you! I must say, I have such lovely clients. Xo
