I remember one morning I had woken up, sat at my desk and opened up the good old inbox. Here I found an inquiry from a bride set to be getting married at the beautiful Parkside Hotel downtown Victoria, BC. It was a casual beginning, similar to all other inquires I receive during booking season. I replied and asked for further information and now a days I request their link to their pinterest boards (great source for inspiration and I can jump inside each and every clients brain waves almost right away) ....
So, this bride replied and sent along her pinterest link... I opened it, she had pinned a few blush pink hand tied bridal bouquets, but then!!! THEN I noticed she pinned an ivory composit bridal bouquet and I think I almost fell off my chair, I was so excited. I didn't look back on the other bouquets she had pinned and I replied to her right away asking about the composite bouquet. I was so thrilled with the thought of FINALLY being able to create one for a REAL bride. I had created composite bouquets both from roses and from orchids, but never for a REAL bride. I dug and drilled her about why she had pinned it and asked if she really wanted to carry a bouquet like that at her very own wedding day.
HER REPLY
" Yes, I love that bouquet so much but sorta thought it was a bit of a dream and didn't think a local florist could create something like that for me!"
Well, well, she came knocking on the right door. I was simply thrilled and said:
"Laura, I will create that for you"
I think I was more excited then she even was and patiently waited her wedding day ALL season long!
Ok, Ok, enough drooling - let's show you the results!
Laura's Composite Bridal Bouquet!
Laura requested a blush pink rose colour to be used! Everything about her wedding was soft and romantic ... just wait till I blog up part 2.
So how you ask do you create 1 gigantic oversized rose, well let's just say lots of labour, love and early hours!
Laura's beautiful gown had a few gold accents in the detailing of the lace (it was one of the most stunning gowns I have seen), so for her maids bouquet, we pulled out the gold in her dress and spray painted the seeded eucalyptus, included blush garden roses and white hydrangea! Simply epic romance!
OK! One of the most stunning images I have ever received over the 6 years in business. How lucky is this bride to have this one. Simply perfection!
SO if you are looking for a composite bridal bouquet, call me - I want to make another one!
Mind blowing! I love my daring clients!
