A stunning private garden Inspired wedding, Ocean side, Victoria BC

Wednesday, 21 October 2015

Wow!  Just wow!  This is my first blog post in so many months, but there simply was absolutely no time.  We ran around for months, not stopping, no time to think sometimes.  Looking back at the 2015 wedding season, I am so grateful!  It was our largest wedding season to date with so many fantastic wonderful couples I will not forget!  I thought I would start off the blogging with one of my favourite weddings this past season shot incredibly by AMERIS.  Although it was a stunning wedding full of all the right details, it was one of my favourites because I fell in love with the family.  Truly incredibly kind, warm hearted people who trusted us to get the job done and do it with creativity.  My pleasure through and through!

The day would start down at the families private dock for the ceremony over looking the ocean and mountains.  We dressed the railings with garlands of seeded eucalyptus and babies breath.  I remember arriving on site at 9am and it was already scorching hot!  I think I even got a sun burn as I attached the garland!

Laura's stunning lush and organic inspired bridal bouquet consisted of items direct from my personal cutting garden including rosemary, poppy seed pods, scabiosa and garlic scapes.  Other items included:  quicksand roses (one of my absolute favourite varieties with their beautiful champagne coluring and their performance never lacks) , ranunculus, olive branch, artichoke, and veronica.  Drapping below Laura's bridal bouquet, was custom created silk, hand died ribbons from Silk and Willow... true luxury!

We must not forget the dapper men!  GOOD LOOKING in their navy blue suits and twinned wrapped boutonnieres.  The groom had but one request at it was to have twinned wrapped boutonnieres.  Seeded eucalyptus, ranunculus and scabiosa seed pods filled these little numbers just fine!

Onto reception details!  One of my favourite receptions to date!  Archways carried garlands cascading with fresh flowers, rose petals and candlelight lead guests around the property as the evening wore on.  Truly a magical wedding, soft and romantic!

Vintage inspired lush garden arrangements filled our vintage silverware collection and placed on tables throughout the property.

Tents filled the backyard and tables were set with beautiful garlands.  Chandeliers hung with fresh greens and swagged of fabric were gathered with bunches of eucalyptus.

I say this time and time again, it truly takes an army of people to pull off such incredible weddings and I was honoured to work with some of the very best within the industry including:
