So many changes we are seeing lately in the legalization of same sex marriage and I couldn't be more thrilled that finally we are opening the box of communication and realizing that YES love is love no matter who it's between. I recently gathered up some other local wedding industry professionals to do something a little outside the box and create a romantic yet surreal photoshoot. Recently I have been craving things that shake my soul and love looking at images that make me feel connected. Now, living in a fast paced world, I feel we can connect globally through social media outlets and work in uniting this world (sigh... one day right?) ... hoping to achieve connection with others. We need to use the internet to connect and create and move this world forward. In posting these images, I too hope you can feel the love and connection we created here between two lovelies. I hope you can see love is love, nothing more, nothing less - same sex marriage is just the same. To set the mood, we came up with a story to tell......
Finally finding THE ONE to marry is often hard enough.... when two people find one another and their souls connect imagining life without the other becomes unbearable.
Imagine finding out the one you've devoted your life to is terminally ill. We set the stage for the eve of the wedding, the party has died out and the evening has come to an end. These two run off to their cabin in the woods knowing their time is limited, both ecstatic to finally be legally married, however haunted by the limited time together.
I guess my hopes in sharing a creative adventure like this with you is to look beyond and simply see passion, pain, love and everything in between. Love comes in all shapes, sizes and love between either two men or two women is simply just the same.
Here's to legalizing "same sex" marriage everywhere!
