Lately, I must emit I have been feeling less then inspired! Not for my clients, my clients are always inspiring and each and every love story I am allowed to be apart of is so very exciting. Everyone I meet is so completely different and I love telling their stories through the use of floral design. I simply love it, however personally I have been searching for creativity. My entire life, I always searched for creativity anywhere I could find it. The need for invention and expression through different art forms has always been a huge factor of who I am. Since Platinum Floral Designs hit the road running a few years ago, I devoted every ounce to my clients, always reaching for the "above and beyond their expectations" approach and will continue to do so...... but .... with that came the "I'll focus solely on everyone else" before myself....

I have met so many wonderful people within the wedding industry who inspire me to push the limits and I want to return that favour and inspire others to reach far for their dreams in anything they want to do. I am a huge believer that people come into your life at certain times for a particular reason. They may be short brief meetings or they come and stay for a longer period of time, perhaps even forever. Lately, this has been happening, many people, different opinions and different views, some inspiring, some interesting, some completely off par, but I try with every ounce try to understand what they are saying and how can I translate that into life learning or inspiring ideas....

I remember first starting out with Platinum Floral Designs. Sure, there was a sense of fear in the air, but I was determined to do something great. Fear, well, really didn't play a part, I just said DO IT, I was young and fearless! And I did , I went for it - and now, here I am, 5 years later with a pretty darn cool little company that I am incredibly proud of. However owning a business also comes with some great responsibility including branding! Branding means ME! Somewhere along the lines, I conformed to what I thought everyone wanted me to be....... but

Something is re-awakening in me. It's time to experiment, to grow, to take risks, I am READY to break some rules and make mistakes too!

So, it's 2015 and its time!

I don't know exactly what this all will look like, but I am pretty excited to aline myself with other talented, local and creative professionals in this city (there are lots of us!) - so if you are one of them and want to drop the fear and kick some major creativity butt, email!
