The midnight lamp - what I'm grateful for!

I had such am amazing last 2 weeks.  I absolutely have to do a quick post about my trip to Pender Island with some amazing wedding vendors!  I travelled with Smiling Rain Photography (Sarah), Blue Lily Event Planning (Tam) - and her assisant, Lisa.  These ladies are not only uber talented, but I am grateful for these travel companions, my friends!  We started the day off right and headed out to the ferry really early (right, that's what amazing wedding vendors do! - Cover all possibilites!)

So we all meet there, my van loaded with vintage props and flowers, Tam loaded with decor items, Sarah's truck packed to the max with more vintage props and photography equipment.  So there we were, sitting having lunch at the ferry terminal, feeling pretty good.  Sarah decided to head back to her truck while us 3 sat back and gabbed.  Then all of a sudden (with a frantic phone call - Sarah called) - we realize the ferry line is moving-  and guess what, we are NOT in our cars.  The sense of urgency raced through our bodies - and I BOLTED for the van - yeap, I left poor Tam and Lisa to fend for themselves (sorry ladies - I left you in the dust).  As we're running, Tam's coffee is splashing into the air, Lisa freaking out about her keys..... I remember Lisa saying frantically....

"THE DOOR IS LOCKED"

I am sure we looked like complete SILLYS!
All brightly coloured in our mint greens, blues and pinks....

YEAP THAT WAS US!

We landed on the ferry, and all had to laugh......

It just got worse from there - no not the wedding part - everything about the wedding turned out incredibly beautiful - a favorite on the list - but it was FULL of laughter and fun!

Moments - bloopers - the bride even got into it.

Platinum Floral Designs became "Platinum Dig a Hole Pole" - apparently, I can dig a mean hole!

I was blessed to have my Midnight Lamp - the hotel room at Poet's Cove had become my studio for the week - the crew was desperately working inside the room as I was left outside to fend for myself under 1 lamp, 1 source of light!  Thanks ladies, no just kidding - "the crew" was SO helpful.

The day of the wedding - we all helped each other out and ensured every aspect of the wedding looked incredibly beautiful - and it did.  The bride was happy and so were we.  Exhausted by the end of it all, but all grateful for having such great company, such great friends, such great talent.

Thank you ladies!
